So you got yourself your first guitar and it looks very cool but you soon find out that getting a pleasant sound out of it is not an easy task...
The following Beginner Guitar Lessons will teach you all you need to know to begin to enjoy playing your newly acquired instrument.
This is the most crucial moment in your career as a guitar hero: you may find it hard at first to get a clean note out of your instrument, you may get sore fingertips and get lost on the fretboard and you may want to quit.
It's all perfectly normal: even if you play guitar for years and stop for a few weeks, you'll have to build up your calluses again and you may risk to get blisters on your fingertips if you're not careful. It happened to me a few times.
You'll just have to be patient and work at your own pace: there's a big phisycal component in playing an instrument and you'll have to exercise muscles you don't normally use, build strength, flexibility, independence and synchronization of movements. It's like going to the Gym, it takes patience, determination and passion.
You'll also have to learn where the notes are, basic chord shapes and scales. You may want to take a look at the Theory section of the website: though it's not absolutely necessary it's highly recommended.
So let's begin our Beginner Guitar Lessons by taking a closer look at your axe...
